1 Work In Chunks

To lighten the load on your brain, it is better to segment your work into small manageable pieces. The idea is you do not want to spend an entire day working on one task non-stop. Breaking it up allows your brain to ‘breathe’ and it will reward you later with effective work. So work in small portions then leave your desk and if your lucky go outside breathe in mother nature.

2 Reward Yourself For Your Determination

It’s not really a bad thing to visit sites like Facebook, Meebo, or Twitter to get your social updates, but it’s important to not spend huge amounts of time on them, especially when your work is not complete. What I tend to do is create a set of tasks that I need to complete before I can visit any of those sites or leave my desk. If you cant stick to goals that you set try another one of these methods.

3 Find The Right Music

As for me there is no way that I can push through an entire work day of coding or designing without the appropriate music to keep me motivated. I can be wrong about this but I believe its important that whatever genre you decide to listen to, to make sure its music that can be easily filtered out while keeping the work ethic at full throttle. Finding the happy medium will increase your drive immensely and will make the day fly right by.

4 Go Incognit

If all else fails and you just cant seem to get away from the Facebook and pesky co-worker emails, you have to hide yourself. Go invisible on the instant message clients, set the away message to “BUSY, DON’T BOTHER ME”. And for those workers who love to stop by your desk, throw on those head phones so they dont feel inclined to spark up a conversation.

Finally the best way to be productive is to truly enjoy and be passionate about what your working on. We go to great lengths and hours of work for things that interest us. Yet we lose focus instantaneously if what we are doing is not important. It might take sometime finding interest in the work you do, you might have to just think about the big picture or maybe focus on impressing those around you (possibly a boss) to stay on track.

A good day begins....yeah...

It's been long time never really sit down and blog for my life. hectic with my recent days...Now a bit lazy to blog compare to last time. hmm...long time never hang out with you guys dy, christine and milky...hope you guys will me miss, wahahaha...long time didn't really eat my mom's cook dy, but it still very nice taste and ever. long time never really stay with my dear for some times dy, thanks for understanding :)...

Thanks for those who give me the chance to learn, I just can said I'm really good luck all the time. I'm not from rich family, but I have a happy family. When still studying in primary school, I study in the best class, I get few awards such as writing competition, chinese calligraphy competition, drawing competition. Still remember a year when I went for a nation computer drawing competition when I'm in standard six, my dad thought I just play around and wont get any award, but I won a big trophy and a radio, my dad was get shock too. I know my dad is proud of me, that is why I always think to not let him worry about me and wont let him disappointed. When secondary school, I get into a good school, although I'm not feel good too, haha. He knows I want to further study with art, how hard he is, but he still let me study in a very expensive college. Start from the day I get in to the college, I told myself not to waste his money and study hard to prove it. Yea, I make it. I make him proud another more time. After graduate. I get into a good company. I learn a lot. I have a good boss and good colleagues. I get to go Hong Kong for my company trip which is my dream too. And now, I told my dad any good news from me, I can feel he is smiling through his heart. I really makes him proud.

For these 22 years, I never request for anything but I get for everything. I just can said I'm so lucky. Don't complain too much, this is my quote for everyone. Never have a negative thought and you will get a positive result. :)

Just having a great movie today with giziwz colleagues. UP, a very interesting story and it's worth to watch in 3D. The story is about a 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen meet a girl, Ellie. They have the same dreams which is to go Lost Land in South America. But Ellie can't wait for the day to fulfill their dreams, she pass away when she was 70 yrs old.

The climax of the movie is Carl Fredricksen tying up thousands of balloon on his home and make his unbelievable journey to his dream land. He meet up the small little guy, Russell. They encounter lots of barking dogs and the extinct rare bird along the journey. They built up their relationship and have a memorable adventure in their path.

The animation is really cool. It was touching and makes me feel wanna cry in some of the scenes. All the stuff are detail. Love the characters, the old man and the fat little boy. Nice 3D animation!

10 Logo Design Tips

1. A logo doesn’t need to say what a company does  
Restaurant logos don’t need to show food, dentist logos don’t need to show teeth, furniture store logos don’t need to show furniture. Just because it’s relevant, doesn’t mean you can’t do better.

The Mercedes logo isn’t a car. The Virgin Atlantic logo isn’t an aeroplane. The Apple logo isn’t a computer. Etc. Etc.

2. Not every logo needs a mark  
Sometimes a client just needs a professional logotype to identify their business. Don’t be afraid to ask what they think.

3. Two-way process  
Remember, things might not always pan out as you hope. Your client might request something you disagree with. If that happens, try giving them what they want, then show them what you believe is an improvement, and why. They’re less likely to be so resistant if they already see how their thoughts pan out.

4. Picasso started somewhere  
You don’t need to be an artist to realise the benefits of logo sketching. Ideas can flow much faster between a pen and paper than they can a mouse and monitor.

5. Under-promise, over-deliver  
If you’re unsure how long a task will take to complete, estimate longer. Design projects are like construction work — you piece lots of little elements together to form a greater whole, and setbacks can crop up at any time.

6. Leave trends to the fashion industry  
Trends come and go, and when you’re talking about changing a pair of jeans, or buying a new dress, that’s fine, but where your brand identity is concerned, longevity is key.  

Don’t follow the pack. 

Stand out.

7. Work in black first
By leaving colour to the end of the process, you focus on the idea. No amount of gradient or colour will rescue a poorly designed mark.

8. Keep it appropriate  
Designing for a lawyer? Ditch the fun approach. Designing for a kid’s TV show? Nothing too serious. I could go on, but you get the picture.

9. A simple logo aids recognition  
Keeping the design simple allows for flexibility in size. Ideally, your design should work at a minimum of around one inch without loss of detail. Look at the logos of large corporations like Mitsubishi, Samsung, FedEx, BBC etc. Their logos look simple and are easier to recognise because of it.

10. One thing to remember  
That’s it. Leave your client with just one thing to remember about the design. All strong logos have one single feature to help them stand out.

It's too sudden to know that my colleague, the krazie ewejin going to resign and headed to other company. When the time he announce that he's going to leave soon, honestly, i'm really sad and down.

About the krazie designer, he had the same surname with me, Tee. I've been working together with him in GizwizStudio for 1 year and a half. He is a good leader and willing to teach me whatever his knowledge with his patience. He is the funnymaker of everyone in every moment, so after he leave, i think the office will become silents for some times, haha...He is good in design skills, not trying to promote him, but he is really a professional designer.

Of course, he is bad sometimes. He is a conman, he love to con ppl, haha...He will only surrender when we talk about his small small eye, hahaha...He likes to make ppl angry too, especially apple...

Today is his last day working with us..I will miss the day we work together, the time we travel to HongKong, the moment we having fun and miss the period we enjoying the Ministry of Sound radio! Thank you for taught me so many things, and thanks for your help when you are busy with your things, you are the best and feel so glad to know you!

Today I'm driving as a learner, I try my best to drive....drive...drive...
Unfortunately, when reach the cross road at Kelawei road, my engine off as I not expert in using the clutch... it off for 3 times continuously...omg!!....the car behind horn me and the traffic light turn to red again.......I feel really nervous....my alien shout on me too....badly sad.....and I'm crying....
This is just my 2nd time for driving after i passed my driving test, I also try my best dy...I'm not genius....give me some time k.....sigh.....scare to drive dy.......

I get myself K770! It's the modal that i prefer according to the function it have, 3G, 3.2megapixel, sound system not bad, outlook is nice and modern, light available at night, etc...It just cost $650 with 1gb memory card, cheap but excellent compare to the others modal! I'm satisfy with my new hp....yohoo.....

I lost it, K618...It's my birthday present from my dear last 2 years.
hmm...im so careless...i will miss you my little hp...haha...

一部感人的电影，向日葵。就这么一坐，就把这部片看完了。说是闷了些，但是故事的内容也触动得我的心。一个父亲给与恶劣的爱，从小就被逼画画，什么事父亲都为他做主，不关喜不喜欢，只要父亲认为是对的，他都得逼着做，就这样从小恨父亲恨到他长大。

他长大了，也结了婚。

终于，他开了第一个属于自己的画展，失意与记忆，里边都是他画的从小到大，一连串的全家福。他父亲也去了画展。欣赏到最后一张画，他坐下了...

父亲跟他握了手，什么都没说，就是沉默，心里想对他说的应该是“恭喜”这两个字吧！这也是他们父子最美丽的画面了。看到了这边，我也笑了，原来最感人的是他父亲对他的爱，就是这种让人无法接受的爱。眼眶里的泪水在打转着...我想，向阳这个名字，就是希望他一直向着阳光，就好像向日葵一样，充满自信与未来！

Our Lunch at Restaurant Khanna, beside Northam Tower. We were attract by the flyers, RM2.50 onwards, brings together with the flyer will get a free teh tarik, haha...What a good way to promote a new opening shop!

All the food was delicious. Price are reasonable, $12.50 per each person. Nice and relax environment. We some more get scold by ewejin because we eat and talk nonstop in the same time...Maybe we are too noisy till he can't concentrate eating, haha...

E&O Buffet Dinner

We have our CNY buffet dinner at E&O Hotel. The environment and interior inside is like old style kopitiam, feel heritage. A lot of food waiting for us, haha. The food is more on Asian cuisine, and included japanese food, sashimi, favourite of us. We non-stop eating and it's really full. I love the dessert, especially the cheese cake, yummy! the char koay teow was nice too. Overall, it's tasty la! Erm, for their comment, they said it's ok nia. Anyway, we are enjoy our dinner well and it just cost $52 each person!

Having my Dim Sum breakfast on the CNY 2nd day at Bali Hai Restaurant located at Gurney Drive. It's full of people early in the morning. The dim sum should be very good! We hardly found a table and waiting for my dear take the food for us.

Everytime when we meet up is really a wonderful memory for me. I learn a lot and taught a lot from her experience. She become mature and more pretty. Only I can say is, Joanne, I'm proud of you. I hope she can settle down her things, can really find the one she love and the one who love her.

哈！忙了两个星期，终于忙完大扫家的任务了，要不是被老妈天天念着念哪的，我也懒得打理，现在终于觉得家里空气清晰多了，好有满足感！

这两天都呆在家，空余的时间都是大扫除，好累好累，因为老妈一直念一直念，虽然最近脾气古怪的我动不动就想发脾气，而我在家都不大爱说话，很自我风格，也不喜欢别人叫我做事，想做就会做，不过能帮忙减轻妈妈的负担我也很开心，因为她就是从早忙到晚，是很辛苦的。

距离华人新年还有一个星期罢了，心情也越来越兴奋！我很喜欢新年气息，可以穿上新衣，享受华人新年的气氛，大家聚在一起，看见家家户户装饰得漂漂亮亮的，还有更开心的是可以拿红包啦, 哈哈！

新的一年，新的希望！我的09年希望如下：
- 家人，朋友健康开心
- 工作顺利愉快，努力学习更多
- 努力储蓄
- 学习makeup, 因为我到现在还不懂化妆！哈哈
- 照顾好我的脸，因为一直生豆豆！

体会

突然很想跟大家分享一件事。。

昨天晚上跟我的狗熊在一家咖啡店吃晚餐，那里的每个晚上都人潮满满，东西便宜又好吃，我也叫了一盘干酪果条，和一盘“菜头糕”。。。

好不容易，找了个座位坐下，隔壁就是卖云吞面的。从我做下的那刻起，我就留意着一个大概有9，10岁的小男生在洗盘碗。他没有说话，很可爱，很认真的在洗，我看她动作有点慢，也大概累了吧。

我边吃边不时转头留意着他，看他洗完后站起来，拿起盘碗放到摊子位，然后跟着又从桶里面拿出肮脏的盘碗出来再洗。

他没有一声怨言，再怎么不愿意，他还是帮了很大的忙，至少我知道我真得很幸福了，我只是没有童年回忆的小朋友罢了，可他童年的回忆却必须帮家人分担家事。

我很想拿出手机拍下当时的画面，可是知道这样的行为有点不太礼貌，最后还是打消了这个念头。

人往往要求很高，看到别人拥有的，自己也要一份，但是没人会先明白到其实自己已经很幸福了，别人的辛苦没人知道，但是自己的幸运和幸福应该好好珍惜！

哗哗，2008年的最后一夜跟2009年的开始，我败给了一支vodka...
原本目的是bbq，烧烧鸡，看看烟花，享受热闹过新年之夜，到后来却醉得不省人事，糟糕！
他们说，我说了很流利的英文勒！其实我多多少少都会说，只是我没跟你们说啦（自high一下）
还以为自己醉了还能走上车的我，原来是被背上车的，哈哈！
呕得像死鱼一般，还以为很清醒，原来我已经睡到连炸弹爆炸都听不见了，可怜我的狗熊还被我打了几拳，还有阿冠当我的奴婢，拍瑟啦！
好特别的庆祝之夜，真是难忘！
